Facebook etc.

What a week it's been! We'll, I began the Facebook experiment last Saturday and, in a week, have managed to get in contact with nearly 300 people I haven't seen or heard from in a while. My favorite conversations so far have been with people from High School or from old Jobs I used to have. I remember how much I miss people from the past. Time is truly a funny thing. My favorite thing is to tell people what God has been doing. The typical comment I get in the beginning is..."You have a beautiful family...so what are you doing now" I think ^^...well let me tell you what I've been up to... I then realize two thoughts. I think they're normal. The first is...Wow, God has done amazing things in my life! The second is, I only have 300 people to tell this story...I may not tell it well...what would Jesus say, or what would some of my Christian friends say if they were me. Then, the truth be told, I feel a little discouraged because I truly love every one of the people God has put in my life, deeply. I wish they knew what I know. The reality is that most won't. That truly sucks! So, anyway...

Overall, I'm excited about hanging out with everyone in this large scale conversation that Facebook has allowed, and I'm excited to see how God uses it.

Anyway, random thoughts on Monday.

Sunday

Sunday was awesome! The message can be uploaded by copying the massive address below into your search bar... Or, you can do the simple thing and go to www.churchofcelebration.com listen the message there...

I'm so excited about God's vision for needy people. No one is excluded! His concern isn't for the people who think they've got it all together. It's for the truly needy! That's you and me of course! He is awesome. Luke 14 and 15 have been awesome to teach out of! If you thought that was cool you've gotta see the link on the right called try God. I think you'll enjoy...

Outreach on Facebook

Anyone doing the Facebook...Myspace thing? I just started and I gotta tell you, it's cool. What a cool way to keep track of people you haven't been around for a while. I found a friend I knew in grade school a few days ago. I've found that Evangelism isn't something you only do face to face. How awesome id it that you're able to do the very same thing through a page that you people pull out of cyberspace. You can say whatever you want however you want without all the intimidation... Anyway, it's really simple. just pull up Facebook.com and create a profile...I think you'll enjoy! When you do...send me a friend request!

The church God designed us to be...

...an excerpt from Sunday's message...Luke 15:1-2. Luke 14

"...Cause the church should be the most magnificent place in the World! It is the place where the hurting are to find healing... Where the lonely are to find satisfaction. Where the lost are to be found... Where the hungry are to be fed. Where the needy are to be ministered to... Where everyone finds and shares their purpose... Where questions are welcomed and answered... Where everyone who’s willing to follow Jesus finds a place of honor...Where God smiles daily! It’s the place we practice for eternity. It’s the place where we find our joy. It’s the body of Christ! It’s not contained in a building, though it should overflow into the bodies! It’s the structure that God is building, and the gates of Hell will not prevail against it. No man or might or idea can recon with it because it’s an unstoppable force, a movement set in motion by the unstoppable hand. It is the light to the World. Outside it’s symbolic doors is total darkness, but the doors are wide open. It’s to be the place where every need and longing is met or at least addressed …

Imagine the impact that church could have. Imagine the impact that church could have here in Maricopa!"

I'm excited about this coming week. We're going to finish out Luke 15 which rocks!

Have an awesome week!!
